"Hard on the heels of Fears Nothing, the talented mare Miss Raggedy Ann (Faltaat-Miss Pollyanna) posted her first black type victory with a tough win in the Group 1 Blandford Lodge Railway Stakes for her owners Llanhennock Trust and Matamata trainer Andrew Scott. Miss Raggedy Ann was the 86-1 outsider in the premier sprint race and showed great tenacity to outfinish her rivals and provide rider Tasha Collett with her first Group 1 success.
Raced by her breeders, Miss Raggedy Ann is out of the three time winning Gold Brose mare Miss Pollyanna, a full sister to Champion 3YO Buzz Lightyear who took out the New Zealand 2000 Guineas and the Levin Bayer Classic before dying prematurely during an Australian campaign. Miss Raggedy Ann is the second foal of Miss Pollyanna, her first being the Minardi gelding Montecristo who scored 3 wins in New Zealand & Hong Kong, while her third and last foal is named Miss Lisadell (by Bachelor Duke) - Miss Pollyanna died in 2007 without further produce."
