Gallops Circuit Underway at Reefton
The 1st of 4 days gallops starts tomorrow. Great to see 11 races on the card. Nice mix of northern and southern horses. The Pitman stables going nuts over the hols winning 6 one day, massive effort. Team Parsons in the zone as well so aint going to be easy for the Raes, Myers, Frost, McKenzies and other Nth Island stables but to quote the self proclaimed #1 racecaller in NZ' bring it on'.
Hope the forecasters get it wrong with the weather though and then onto the famous nuggets day at Kumara. Its 125 years for them tjis year so its planned to be a huge night/day/night there. James MacDonald is there to ride for Phillip and Peter Vela with Stephen Ramsay and Julia Ritchie taking the team south. The Velas colours have been successful all over the world and it will be great to see them at Kumara,with James as he is a headline act and its an iconic day on our calender. Some other stables going to the Kumara, Shaun Clotworthy, Ben Foote and Grant Shaw so its going to be a super competitve raceday.
