Golden Spot won yesterday's Gore Septic Tank Cleaners 1355, but had to survive a protest from the connections of the runner-up Inquisition. Trainer Shane Marr and jockey Daniel Bothamley believed their horse's chances were affected when Golden Spot moved out in the straight. The Judicial Control Authority dismissed the protest.

Marr-trained Jardena won the Manata Lodge Handicap yesterday. The grey Kashani mare is unbeaten in two starts at Gore, because she also won at the corresponding meeting 12 months ago. Twelve days after that win she scored at Wyndham.
The Wyndham Racing Club's annual meeting is again on her agenda, according to Marr. ''She'll start in the Wyndham Cup (October 22).

Stablemate Faaltless brought Marr more success in the PGG Wrightson AON Insurance Brokers 1355.
Faaltless' next two starts are in the Coupland's Bakeries Mile Trial at Riccarton on October 24, and the $250,000 Coupland's Bakeries Mile on the Christchurch track on November 10."
